LeftFoot Coaching Academy (LFC) is introducing three new programs taking an innovative step forward in educating, training and providing exceptional player development. These programs are: the LFC Summer Intensive, LFC Small-Group Academy Training and our Player Development Workshops.
The approach of these programs is consistent with our focus on creating great players through small group training that focuses completely on the individual player. This allows for maximum flexibility, access and opportunity to train at our year round soccer, player-specific training academy.
As you have come to expect, the LeftFoot Coaching Academy will continue to provide maximum flexibility for parents and maximum access and opportunity to Academy students, all at the “one-of-a kind”, year round, soccer player-specific environment at the LFC Academy.
The LFC Summer Intensive is a two week program for athletes to focus on soccer skills, speed, strength & agility. The program also develops a broader awareness of the game with video analysis, classroom instruction and leadership development skills consistent with the philosophy of LeftFoot Coaching Academy and the USSF Player Development Academy Guidelines.
Each day the morning intensive is offered for players ages 9-18 that will work with Christian Isquierdo and the LFC staff as they study and apply video analysis of technical and tactical skills in classroom areas, develop strength and coordination in our speed and agility course as well as practice their skills on the main Academy field.
- A maximum 1:8 player to coach ratio.
- Morning Summer Intensives are held 9am-12pm noon
- Each camp session is divided into our four distinct Levels: Level Y, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 advanced players.
1st Hour: Players will have specific classroom instruction on soccer fitness, techniques, goal scoring strategies and leadership development skills based on their Academy Level and age. Players will have the unique opportunity to watch videos of themselves in action from previous day’s training and comparing it to professional and collegiate games.
2nd Hour: Players will develop proficiency in crucial Movement Skills and age-appropriate coordination.
3rd Hour: Dedicated to reinforcing what was learned while working on ball skills at a maximum 1:8 player to coach ratio on the main Academy field.
Fitness and activity loads will also be managed to accommodate summer soccer schedules. At LFC Academy, players will focus on learning and skill development in an intensive environment rather than being forced to withstand the heat of ½ day camps similar to many programs in the state.
Limited to 8 players per Level for a total of 24 players per camp (Level 3 pending enough applications). Players will be sorted based on current Academy level and semester, dedication to the sport, and ability to continue with the Academy on a full time basis.
